Our Village is bold. Our impact is loud, and our words will echo-the-systems we create.

I’ve always been a little leery about proclaiming “favourites.” I never declared anyone my best friend as a kid because I was afraid my other friends might assume I thought less of them.

So it was a little difficult for me to come up with just one “favourite” type of campaign — which is why I felt I should write this article to add a little more context to my thoughts on this one.

What makes interactive community focused campaigns my favourite?

The answer is simply because of the impact they drive on the growth of a generation, and because they manage to hit on some universal truths that allow us to remember why we got into strategy in the first place. In fact, my team and I spent weeks ideating the concepts and some of us might not have even considered the campaign ready when we first aired.

But to know what makes a campaign complete, you first need to appreciate the impact. An impact is where NextGen won my heart, our hearts. Granted we did have a few hiccups here (by our standards), but it goes without saying that we did great and learnt a lot in the process. Plus, the campaign was a success!

As the campaign came to a close, our team was out and about in the city getting as many youth across that registration line (no man left behind). Before I bore this read with all the technicalities I would love to extend a big thanks to Jacaranda Hub for creating a programme focuses on; capacity building, skills development, investor readiness, innovation and seed funding to meriting ideas for the youth, we needed someone to. I would also like to thank the rest of the team, as well as all the youth that participated, you guys we’re amazing!

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing you all thrive through the NextGen National Youth Incubation Program and sincerely hope that more of youth take a run at the opportunity when next registration opens.

“This particular program found it’s place in my heart and turned my agency aspirations into a youth led mission.” (more on this later)

Brand Snapshot

“The brand represents an exclusive class of young Zambians that have dared to make a difference. Zambians that are willing to go the extra mile to grow, dream and act on their ambitions.

It is a highly Aspirational Challenger brand that speaks as a community.”

BE A BWANA!

So what really is NextGen?
